Route № 1

«From ancient Taraz to the present day»

Overnight bus and hiking route in Taraz. The total length of the route is 100 km. The frequency of organizing the route daily.

Along the way, tourists get acquainted with the pearls of architectural architecture, the mausoleums of Karakhan and Dautbek (10 – 13th century), the Tekturmas mausoleum (15th century), the Kali-Yunus bathhouse, the mausoleums of  Aisha – Bibi and Babadzha Khatun (10 – 12th century). They will visit the regional museum of local history, in which more than 2000 m. of the exhibition area. Here, tourists can get acquainted with the history of the city, see the bright and rich archaeological finds (a unique collection of stone sculptures of the balpolans), indicating that the city was the center of an important and highly developed culturally and economically district.

In the exhibition hall, guests of the city will see the work of contemporary artists, sculptors and masters of applied art. Their works are imbued with national color and love for our ancient land.

Route № 2

«This mountain can be better than another mountains»

Bus and pedestrian two-day ecological route. The total length of the route is 200 km. The frequency of the organization of the route is daily.

The route begins with the Berikkara gorge, which is located 80 km northwest of the city of Taraz. A comfortable bus will take you to the gorge, where the unique beauty of the majestic mountains opens up to the gaze of tourists. The Berikkara tract is located in the Karatau mountains, which captivate with its cave paintings. These images give a complete picture of the worldview of the Aryans (ancient tribes living in this area 2000 BC). On the rocks, ritual dances, hunting scenes are depicted, the economic life of nomadic tribes, their religious beliefs, customs, traditions, rituals are reflected.

Berikara Gorge is one of the most interesting floristic regions of the world, in which there is a unique relict ash grove. Mother nature herself take care of the children. You can not be afraid of a sore throat by drinking cold spring water, as it is healing. The fresh breeze from the gorge is as if breathing new forces into you, making you breathe deeply.

Rest after visiting the gorge for tourists is provided in a comfortable recreation area. For those who wish, an overnight stay in yurts on the shore of Lake Biylikol with night fishing is offered.

Route № 3

«The Dunes Moynkum»

Pedestrian – horseback two – five day environmental routes. The total length of the route is 1000 km. The frequency of organizing the route daily.

Departure early in the morning from the city of Taraz to the Sands of Moynkum. With their mysterious dunes and majestic procession ships of the desert camels. In the Sands of Moynkum, life does not cease either in the harsh winter or hot summer. Here hunters with Golden eagle chase hares and foxes, herds of saiga graze. In the Sands, tourists can hunt wolves and foxes, go fishing on the shore of the picturesque lake Balkhash, in the shade of a cool yurt, taste national cuisine, quench their thirst with medicinal drinks kumis, shubat, ayran, make the transition through the desert at will on horses and camels.

Route № 4

«Almaly Gorge»

Bus-foot-horse six-day ecological route. The total length of the route is 150 km, the Frequency organization of the route from April to November.

Almaly gorges are widely known and popular among tourists for the region’s rich and diverse fauna and flora. Numerous waterfalls give special beauty to the gorge. The presence of many sheer cliffs makes it possible to conduct training camps and competitions in sports climbing here, and in winter to organize a hunt for wild boar and wolf.

Having traveled by horse through the gorges “Kara Archa”, “Shoshkaly”, “Sugaty” at an altitude of 500 – 800 m above sea level, tourists can stop at the base camp. The shadow of thick trees, the murmur of crystal spring water, the coolness of fresh air and the beauty of the mountain landscape, the diversity of the animal world will make the vacation unforgettable and unique. «The revived red book»

One-day horse-walking route through Aksu Zhabagli reserve.

In its 75th anniversary, the reserve was named the best in the CIS by experts in terms of protection and equipment.

On the territory of the reserve there are more than 16 species of plants listed in the red book (among them Greig’s tulips). There are 58 birds, including the most rare Golden eagle, vulture, black stork, blue bird, Paradise Flycatcher. Today there are 55 individuals of argali, 40 heads of marals, Tien Shan bears and many other animals in greater numbers.

More details of the flora and fauna of the reserve can be found in the Zoological Museum of nature in the village of Zhabagly. To make the picture as complete as possible, and tourists feel the connection with nature as much as possible, excursions are held under the voices of birds and animals recorded in the farthest corners of the reserve. The trip also includes a visit to Vannovsk caves and a walk through the gorge on horseback.

Route № 6

 «The mystery of Akyrtas»

Our way lies to the East of Taraz, South of the railway station Ak-Chulak. It is here that Akyrtas is one of the most ancient monuments of southern Kazakhstan. There are no exact data on the history of its creation and the author of the production. This unfinished structure, grandiose and bold in design, consists of a complex of rooms grouped around a vast courtyard.

There are several beautiful legends about Akyrtas.  However, a number of Kazakh and Foreign scientists archaeologists put forward their hypotheses of the origin and purpose of this structure.

This unique architectural complex still requires detailed study to identify the political and cultural ties of the Turkic States of Kazakhstan with the States of the Near and Far East in the early middle ages on the great Silk road.

In 2004, restoration work began on Akyrtas, which should restore the ancient appearance of the unital structure. According to many magicians here is the third point of the Bermuda triangle.


Route № 7

«From snow peaks to sand dunes»

The uniqueness of this route is that literally two tourists can play snowballs in the mountains, and then, having gone down, drive through forest steppes, steppes, semi-deserts, and finally, see the mating season of turtles in the flourishing Moynkum desert.

Route № 8

«Journey along the great silk road»

This historical and local history route is intended for students from other regions of our country.

The two-day route starts from the hotel Zhambyl on a comfortable bus. The first object visited by tourists is the ancient monument of architecture mausoleum “Karakhan” and the nearby mausoleum “Dautbek”. The next destination is the ancient bath of Kali Yunus, which is now a Museum. Next, tourists will visit the ancient Taraz settlement, where the excavations of ancient Taraz are located, see the monument to Zhambyl Zhabayev located nearby. At lunchtime, tourists will be invited for lunch in the exotic restaurant “Babur”, where they will taste national cuisine. After lunch, tourists will go to the unique architectural complex mausoleum “Tekturmas”, where tourists will see the appearance of the city from a height. The next point of tourist’s visit will be the Park of the first President of Kazakhstan, where they will be able to spend a short walk.

After that, the route follows in a southern direction to the pearls of architectural architecture mausoleums “Aisha Bibi” and “Babadzhi Khatun”, where the story of the construction and restoration of these monuments will be told. On the way there will be a stop at the monument “Kazakh khandygy”, erected to celebrate the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate. After visiting the mausoleums “Aisha Bibi” and “Babadzhi Khatun”, the route will continue further along the objects located in the region, where tourists will be presented with the most interesting monuments of history and culture. On the way to the gorge “Berik – Kara”, where there is a children’s camp “Tau – Samaly”, tourists will see the ridge Karatau, which captures its rock paintings, will admire the beauty of the lake “Bilikol” and visit the ancient mounds located along the road. As a cognitive and historical tourism route will pass up the gorge “Berik-Kara”, where there are 504 ancient graves, including 4 Saka burial mounds Dating from 2-4 centuries BC. On the way to the gorge “Berik-Kara” there will be a small stop at the Holy spring “Aulie-Bastau”. Rest after visiting the gorge tourists are provided in a comfortable recreation area. The next day, tourists will go to the canyon “Koksay”, which is of great interest to tourists. «The country of the great steppes»

This route is the organization and conduct of archaeological and ethnographic expeditions for schoolchildren and students.

Zhambyl region is a special territory that combines beautiful natural landscapes, unique historical and cultural heritage, a variety of flora and fauna. This route begins with the historical and cultural center “Ancient Taraz”, where participants will visit the open-air Museum.

After that, the route follows the ancient settlements located on the great Silk road, listed in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list, such as “Kostobe”,” Ornek”,” Kulan”,” Balasagun “and the mysterious Palace complex” Akyrtas”, which make the region very attractive for many tourists. The uniqueness of the route lies in the fact that the participants, as archaeologists, themselves will participate in archaeological excavations.

«Zhambyl region is the birthplace of tulips»

The peculiarity of the route is to visit specially protected natural areas of Zhambyl region-state nature reserves.

Landscapes of wild tulips are of great biological, scientific and aesthetic value. Of the 34 species of tulips growing in Kazakhstan, 11 species grow on the territory of Zhambyl region, of which 4 species are listed In the red book of Kazakhstan, and the Greig Tulip – in the International Red Book.

Currently, tulips are on the verge of destruction and practical extinction. His beauty turns into a great trouble for him and is the object of mass collections for sale. Preservation of the unique natural landscape of tulips is an important and responsible task.

A tour of tulip fields aims to popularize, preserve and use the landscapes of wild species of tulips, as well as to develop ecological and aesthetic types of tourism.

During the route to the Berikkara Gorge, participants will hear beautiful and romantic legends about tulips, plunge into the interesting history of the natural heritage of tulips. On the way, we will stop at the ancient Saki mounds, where they can admire the beauty of the karatau-bilikul massif.
